A true out-doorsman, an avid hunter, and considered to be a legend in sport fishing, he had an intense love and passion for nature and animals. Chuck lived life to the fullest, whether on his Hartey motorcycle, flying a plane, fishing or hunting. He built a three story A-frame tree house in Anna Maria almost entirely with his own hands and resided there until 1985 with his former wife Nancy Huss.
